Mini Joeys

This fun interactive 30 minute class is designed to introduce your Joey to sport through a play based program. This class will include some structured and non structured activities. (parental assistance is require in this class)

Class structure:

We start all our classes the same with a stretch and our Jumping Joeys song. Followed by a fun structured warm up activity usually with the beanbags and an introduction to a sport such as Soccer kicking or rolling a basketball.

The next part of our class is play based with stations or a circuit set up for your mini joey to jump, climb and explore with our equipment.

Joeys

This 30 minute class introduces your joey to Gross Motor skills and basic sport skills in a fun structured way. With whole group activities as well as individual stations. (Parents are encouraged to cheer their Joey on from the side lines) 

Class Structure:

We start all our classes the same with a stretch and our Jumping Joeys song. Followed by a fun structured warm up activity/game. Your Joey will then learn some basic sport skills such a kicking a soccer ball or bouncing a basketball (we focus on one sport for 2-3 weeks)

The next part of our class is learning our Gross Motor skills through structured stations or circuits. We like to have a focus for our stations to allow your Joey to practise the skill multiple times.

Giant Joeys

This 30 minute structured class, teaches your Giant Joey modified sport skills and Gross Motor Skills through fun games and activities. while focusing on school readiness through independent participation. We have a large emphasis on turn taking and team work in our non competitive environment. (Parents are not required to participate in this session but cheer their Joey on from the side line)

Class Structure:

We start all our classes the same with a stretch and our Jumping Joeys song. Followed by a fun structured warm up game/activity. Your Giant Joey will then learn some modified sport skills such as dribbling a soccer ball or bouncing and catching a basketball. (we focus on one sport for 2-3 weeks)

The next part of our class is learning Gross Motor Skills through structured activities/ games and circuits.
